What, what and what?

Hello!

I've been thinking for quite a while about starting this blog, and well, now here it is.

You might find yourself asking, "Who are you, and what exactly IS this blog?"

Valid questions.

I am Erica. For those of you who don't know, I am a geek queen, an animal admirer, happy hooker (as in crochet hooks, you silly individuals), a mom to some pretty epic clones, and a Scleroderma warrior. That's as rounded an answer I can give to the question of "who".

As far as what this is, the best answer is a blog. Duh. What kind of blog? That's a bigger question.

For the most part, my previous blog was more of a personal narrative. This one will also include some personal narrative, of course, but I also wanted to expand upon that. I felt like it was easier to start a new place than to change directions on the old blog.

What new directions? Aside from the regular slice of life stuff, I wanted to start sharing some of my passions. The things that keep me sane when life is anything but.

I have my crafting projects that I want to share. It's my hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do. That's where "Crafts" fits in the title.

I also have my cooking. I have recipes, and misadventures that I think people might find entertaining. "Cooking" Pretty self explanatory right?

"Chronic" has a double meaning. First of all, Scleroderma is a chronic illness. There is no cure and I'm not gonna wake up one day and magically be better. It requires treatment and often pain relief. This is the second meaning of "Chronic" in this instance. I have been researching and more recently using cannabis to help manage the pain of my illness. I am hoping that maybe through this blog I can help others who are curious if marijuana is a good choice for them.

As with all things, no one option fits everyone. But I can share what it is has done for me. Maybe I can ease some fears.

So that's that. Hopefully you'll come by and read form time to time and maybe I can make you smile. Or inspire you to make something you'll love. Either way. Welcome to Crafts, Cooking And Chronic.
